Obituary of James "Jim" McLellan Panton

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jim, surrounded by the love of his family at the Ottawa General Hospital on Friday December 8th, 2023 at the age of 85.  Loving husband of Carole Ann Cuff for 20 years.  Most amazing Dad to Susan (Dean McDonald), and Philip (Wendy). Very proud and wonderful Poppa to Alyssa, Katie (Mitch) and Dan (Christine). Dear step-father to Catherine Cuff, Stephen Cuff (Tamara) and Michael Cuff (Jennifer) and Grandpa to  Dawson and Kiara.

Jim emigrated from Stirling, Scotland in 1947 with his family, the late James and Catherine Panton, his sisters June and the late Eleanor to Woodstock, Ontario.  He completed his education and had an interesting technical career in Canada and the United States.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St. S Renfrew on Thursday December 14th from 6:30 until 8:30 pm. and on Friday December 15th from 9:30 until 10:30 am.  A Memorial Service will follow at the Renfrew Presbyterian Church on at 11:00 am.  Donations in Jim's memory may be made to Hospice Renfrew or Renfrew Presbyterian Church.
