My dear Edna,
My deepest sympathy goes out to you on this very sad occasion. I have so many fond memories of Georgie and his kindness every summer in Griffith. As a very young girl Georgie would always have a place for me on his lap to fall asleep while the parties at the campground store would go on to the wee hours of the morning. He was one of the gentlest men I have ever known. He will never be forgotten.
All my love,
Kathy Landry

I would like to extend condolences to the entire Verrin family. Georgie will be greatly missed. I have all the fond memories of growing up riding around with him in the morning in the old Fargo pickup. Never ever remember him getting mad about anything nothing seemed to bother always happy. George taught me a lot of things while spending time at the camp. And Edgar taught me a lot of other things when spending time at the camp. Both will be greatly missed

We could never express the love we had for Georgie. He was the most caring and selfless person we have ever known. The best years of our life was coming every year to George and Edgar’s campground. George always made sure when we left with our grandchildren there was a brown paper bag filled with goodies twisted shut. We remained friends all through the years with me calling Georgie about every ten days. If I didn’t get him on the phone, I would be worried and tracking him down through Edna. My father died when I was only 37 years old and I looked at Georgie as a father figure. We have never known a better man. Rest In Peace and we’ll see you in heaven. We love you Georgie.

Uncle George was one of my favourite people. I grew up in the trailer park with him and uncle Edgar. They tought me how to hunt, fish and so much more. My son Wyatt grew real close with Uncle George over the last 4-5 years so happy we had this time with him!
He lived a great long life and will be missed by so many.

Awww, George. Wow the memories at Riverside Cottages he used to run with his brother Edgar. Great people. We used to love the dump runs in the back of the old pick-up, wondering if we would see a bear. Sitting with Edna at their family home and then renting Edna's cottage as well. Great, great childhood memories. He used to sing a line to me every year "Oh Diana can't you see, you can climb up that apple tree." Rest in Peace." Daughter of Stan and Bev Learn, Fort Erie, Ontario.
