I was so very sorry to hear of Joan's passing. She was a most wonderful neighbour to my mom for many years. She and mom had an agreement that they could call each other anytime, night or day, if they needed anything. And indeed it was Joan who called me when my mom had a small stroke, and she stayed with my mom until I could get to the hospital. I always enjoyed talking with her when I was in the neighbourhood. She will be greatly missed!
