Lucy and I met about 10 years at the weekly euchre game held on Tuesday afternoon at the Wing. She always had positive stories to share. One time, Bob, Lucy, and myself were returning from Deep River together. We were chatting about our day at the Ontario Senior Games and I unwittingly agreed with Lucy when she called herself "silly"! Had a great laugh over that. Bob, feel sad for you as your other half is no longer with you.

I am so very sorry to hear of Aunt Lucy's passing. She was a beautiful woman, and very special to me. I could not have asked for a better "Fairy" Godmother. Since I was born she treated me with special love. Though I may not have seen her much in recent years, I share very special memories with her. She was so kind. I remember one visit with Aunt Lucy as a very young girl, I fell in love with a special necklace she wore, a long beaded chain with a butterfly pendant. I expressed my love of it to Aunt Lucy, and it wasn't but a moment that, she went to her jewelry collection and produced a second of that very necklace and gifted it to me. From that moment on, I wore the necklace with pride. I think that's why today whenever I see a butterfly, I think of my Aunt Lucy. A warm and beautiful soul. She will be missed but remembered eveeytime I see a beautiful butterfly. I send my love and prayers to all those she loved.
