I have just learned of this news and am deeply saddened. Although I did know her personally, she was an invaluable help in tracing my family history as key family members were featured in Women of Ireland and Leinster to Lanark. She always returned my emails and helped steer me in right direction. Your memory will endure forever in the wonderful books you have written.

Carol was one of my idols. She always encouraged me and others to write and to publish our work. In one workshop, she insisted that I make a list of all the books that I would publish and the stories that I would tell. That list is nearing completion and I know that she would want me to make another, so I will. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. God bless.

I was so sorry to hear about Carol. I knew her When I was a child in Wales. I am a good friend of her sister Carmella, whom I still see from time to time, although I too am now in Canada.
My condolences to all the family.

To Michael, Jackie, Joanna and families, please accept my sincere condolences on Carol's passing. During this past year, she and I collaborated on the writing and compilation of the book "Echoes & Ripples", a Canada 150 Legacy Project with the Township of Admaston/Bromley. Much of our preliminary work on this project was done by way of email correspondence, but latterly, she found that she needed to step back due to health issues. So sadly, she never actually received a copy of this book. Resulting from robust sales, a second edition is being printed at present that will now be edited to list that she has passed. A sad task to have to do.

Jackie, Micheal, and Joanna, my sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. Her work and dedication to the Girl Guide movement in Beckwith township made an everlasting impact on my adolescent years as well as many other young Beckwith women. My memories of the fun and adventures we had in Girl Guides with your mom as our leader will be forever with me.
