I am so sorry for your family's loss. I very fondly remember your mother when I lived around the corner on Southwood Drive; Meredith and her parents were always kind to me, taking me up to the Gatineau to winter ski otherwise I could never have skiied. Your mother, I think, used to work at the Ottawa Y and I thought might have been instrumental in helping me go to the Y summer camp when I was a teen-ager. Again, given my home life, this was an amazing break, opportunity to learn - I made myself dive at the camp that summer! - & I always fondly remember the smell of the summer dust, the fun of the cheeky female leaders' songs - what a tonic from my usual life. Thank you Lorraine & thank you Meredith for being such a good friend.
