Growing up next door to Merv was like have another brother. Whether it was taking boat rides up the river and going to get the Christmas trees. We always had fun together. He was always there to lend a hand and would not say no to anyone. I don't think he new the meaning of the word no. He was especially caring for Mom in her later years, which eased our worries as we were all away from home. My thoughts and prayers are with Allan, Sue and Elizabeth and their families at this time. May Mervin always remain in your hearts forever.

Dear Rouble family. It has been a long time since I've seen Mervin. But my favourite memory was when he would sit at the end of my grandma's table, his Aunt Mary, and have tea, coffee or even a beer on occasion. He always had a gentle smile on his face and a hearty laugh. He was my second cousin, my mom's first cousin (Lorna), but he was still family. Rest in peace Mervin. I know your closest family members will miss you dearly. Please say hi to Ed and Mary and Aunt Eileen for me. Wish I could come show my respects, but unfortunately I have other commitments this week.
