Obituary of Edward (Ed) Joseph Dowe

Edward (Ed) Joseph Dowe, nicknamed Artie, passed away on November 27, 2015 at the age of 71. He is survived by his beloved partner Mae Bowes and her family, his daughter Verena Dowe (Ryan Parkinson), his son Evan Dowe and grandchildren Colton and Lilyan Warren. Ed is also survived by his siblings Mabel Proulx (late Lorne), Louisa, Bob (Denise), Gail Beaudoin (late André), Ronnie (Rhonda), Bill (Dawn), Lisa McBride (John), Monique Morrissette (Denis) and his many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his father Arthur Dowe and his mother Laura (Desabrais) Dowe. He loved to play hockey and enjoyed the company of his many good friends, and loved to joke and tease. Ed was a good friend always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a well respected carpenter/contractor in the Renfrew area for over 35 years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Spring interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Quyon Quebec on Saturday April 23, 2016 at 11 am. Donations in Ed’s memory may be made to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
