Obituary of Lois Margaret Shubaly (nee Windle)

Peacefully after a brief illness, with her family by her side, Lois passed away at Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Sunday June 7, 2015 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Shubaly. Much loved Mom of Daniel and Kathleen (Patrick Quinn). Dearest Grandma to Michael and Madeline Quinn and Erica Shubaly. Lois was predeceased by her parents John and Martha Windle (nee Colterman) and siblings Ed (Marie Guiney), Bernard, Muriel (Art Ross), Beasy (Pat O’Grady), Doris (John Quade), John, Henry and Donald. She will be greatly missed by her sister Joan Foran and her sisters-in-law Eileen, Mary and Betty. Lois, a former schoolteacher, was a member of St Francis Xavier Parish, the Renfrew Golf Club and Renfrew Curling Club. She enjoyed spending her winters with friends in Lakeland, Florida. Lois’ family would like to thank the staff at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital for their compassionate care and attention. Thank you also to family and friends here and in Florida, for all of their support. At. Lois’s request there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 10:00 am. With a light luncheon to follow. Interment Parish Cemetery. Donations in Lois’s memory may be made to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation.
