Dear Sweets;

2003...Frst time the band Daybreak got together for a reunion jam at Derek and Kathy Gauthier's house in Renfrew.
The only member that could not make it was Jeff Nystrom (original bass guitarist).

Daybreak at the Renfrew Arena 1975 (my last playing gig with the Band then off to College.

A store in Renfrew was getting rid of the old style round flash bulbs, for a very cheap price, so I bought all 200.
I wired the flash bulbs all around the drums, facing at me, for this night.
At the end of the last tune of the night, I told the lighting operators to turn off all stage lighting, it was pitch black. I closed my eyes and let off the 200 flash bulbs all at once.
The heat was so intense and the light was so strong, it felt as if I didn't have my eyes closed. I heard "Oh", "Ow".
Of course, no one turned on any lights right away, and I think Jeff Nystrom fell off the stage being totaly blind.
This was someting to remeber, LOL.

The Dawn of "Daybreak". The picture was taken 1972.
We practiced at my parent's place in the basement and would practice every chance we could.
According to David Prince, the band name was given by my mother (band members would arrive very early Saturday morning, I guess).
She also had a canteen running.

Glen was a good man. Always noticed him walking the floor at K.I. as he was always on the go but he would look and give a smile or take a sec to come talk to you. He invited me out to his place to see his set up of guitars and drums unfortunately I never made it out to see but from what I hear he was a hell of a musician. I can take to heart that the music just got louder and a little wilder up there if I know Glen like I think I do. I offer my condolences to all of the family and friends.
