Obituary of Claude Adam

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Claude Adam, at the age of 94. Claude passed away in the early morning of December 11, 2023 at Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew, ON.

Claude grew up in Fort Coulonge, Quebec and moved across the river to be a dairy farmer in LaPasse, Ontario. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Louisa Adam as well as many brothers and sisters. He has one remaining sister, Gisele Leblanc.

Claude leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Noreene Adam and his children Kevin (Leigh-Anne), Kirby, and Michelle (Chris). Claude was lovingly known as Poppa to his six grandchildren Jarren (Stephanie), Emmett, Caeden, Shayne, Jack, and Laura and loved to tease and joke with them, while enjoying some cookies.

As Claude’s family, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew for their exemplary care. Their thoughtfulness and attentiveness to his needs will not be forgotten by us.

Visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle Street South, Renfrew on Wednesday December 13, 2023 from 2-4pm and from 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Francis Xavier Church, 331 Plaunt Street South, Renfrew on Thursday Dec 14 at 10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery Fund (LaPasse) or the Bonnechere Manor Foundation (Renfrew) would be appreciated.
