Obituary of Mackenzie Rachel Mackintosh

It is with profound sadness that we announce Mackenzie’s sudden passing in Calabogie, Ontario on Wednesday October 11, 2023 at the age of 39.  Cherished wife of Frank for over twenty years.  Beloved daughter of Dale (nee Wright) and Leonard Roth.  Proud sister of Ben.  Dear step-mother of Abby McCallum.  Mackenzie will be fondly remembered by her father in law Bruce Mackintosh Sr., her sister in law Lorraine Basler,  brothers in law Bruce and Rick, her many aunts uncles and cousins and her fur baby Sarge. 

Mackenzie will be remembered by her family for her infectious laughter that always filled any room that she was in, if she was smiling, you were too! She never lost her childlike joy and was known to burst with excitement when she was happy.  Mackenzie had a deep love for animals but most especially her German Shepherd Sarge. She loved to work hard but also liked to play hard and she loved riding her motorcycle; an Indian Scout Bobber, love to travel anywhere that was warm and had an ocean.  The ocean became her happy place and she was blessed to have been able to live in Nova Scotia and Victoria B.C. Music was another one of her loves, she could often be found belting out lyrics to a Bon Jovi tune while on the treadmill during an early morning workout that she did with Frank or singing in the kitchen while preparing meals.  We will keep all of those memories close to our hearts and will never forget her.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  In memory of Mackenzie, donations may be made to your local Humane Society.
