Karen Hartley was an incredibly generous and charismatic woman who befriended me in high school when no one else did. I am so grateful and humbled for Karen's friendship during my troubled teen life. My condolences to Ashley and Alex, and to Joan, Kathleen, Kelly and Tina, and to all of Karen's friends and loved ones - may you hold onto those memories of her joyful spirit. Rest in peace Miss Piggy.

My condolences to the Hartley family. Karen was funny, kind and sweet. She always had a smile on her face. She always made me laugh. Karen was always there if you needed a ear to listen. I will miss you my friend.

My condolences to Karen's family.
Karen was the most upbeat person. I haven't worked with Karen very long at No Frills but I enjoyed our shifts together and our chats. She would always lend an ear when needed. I will miss seeing her and her bubbly personality. Karen, thanks for the friendship and I will miss you.

Karen was a wonderful person and I feel blessed having known her. I enjoyed working a shift with her at No Frills - she always had something funny to say to get me laughing . She was so kind and caring to her co-workers and customers .

She was so warm hearted and funny and although only working with her for a short while, I will always remember her and hear her advice when I need it.

My condolences to Karen's family and friends. I had the pleasure of working with Karen as well as living close to her building. She always would ask how I am doing when I was out walking my dog and we would chat while she was out on her balcony. She was my cashier as I checked out my groceries on Saturday and as always she was all smiles and helping the new cashiers on either side of her. Karen you will be missed.

My deepest condolences to the Hartley family. For years I’ve heard loving stories about Karen. I finally had the chance to meet her in May and we shared a long awaited hug hello. Seeing her Lee’s birthday party, she was lovingly holding a wee baby. I am grateful to have met such as free spirited, inspirational soul. I believe she is now at peace and in her happy place. Love to your family.
