I have been researching my family tree. I believe Sylvia would have been my grandfather Wilfred Dobb’s cousin. So sad to hear of her death, my mum has happy memories of correspondence received from Sylvia. Grandad named a daughter after her.

Nanny was one of the gentlest and sweetest women in the world. I have such precious childhood memories of her that will live on in my heart and in my garden, where I still have the anemone plant that she dug up from her garden when she couldn't garden anymore. It has moved with me several times! I love you Nanny, may you finally rest in peace.
