Father Legris after spending many years as a comrade of my fathers, co, celebrated his mass of Christian burial at St. Francis Xavier church. It meant a lot to my family and I know it would’ve meant a lot to my father. He was an extremely kind man

His belly jiggled when he laughed. He really liked being with people. In his quiet way Father Legree was funny and kind. He encouraged participation in the Lay Ministry program, prayer groups. He loved visiting the children at George Vanier school, and built interest by drawing pictures of Marmaduke on the chalk board and talking baseball. He was a fine representative of the priesthood and was kindly remembered at Holy Canadian Martyrs parish in Combermere.

Rest in Peace, Father Legree. May your many years of service and devotion to God and to your parishioners be rewarded in Heaven. We are thankful for your time at our Church in Griffith and we appreciate your efforts for keeping it open for as long as possible. Your kindness will always be remembered.
