The arrival of Aunt Margaret in Windsor was cause for gathering and times of connection between the sisters. We enjoyed those visits. Our Family also enjoyed visiting with Aunt Margaret at Round Lake and her hospitality. Aunt Margaret was a wonderful baker of bread and pies. Above all she loved and cared about her Family. It was a delight to speak with her on the phone. Bob felt a special connection to his Godmother Aunt Margaret and he likely was there to greet her as she arrived in Heaven. Margaret was such a wonder friend to my mother Mary Corrigan. Whenever we went to see mom at her residence in Oshawa, she made sure that we got to see her beloved friend as part of our visit. They met later in life but it was an important friendship. What a wonderful lady. She will be missed. I was blessed to get to know Emily, Margaret's grand daugther, this year. Sending Emily support and my sympathies on your loss. Emily you are in my thoughts and prayers. Peg and I are wishing to send our prayers and sympathy to our Carty cousins. We hold many wonderful memories of your mom. We spent many memorable times with your mom and the family at the cottage on Round Lake and at your family home in Oshawa. Who could forget your mom's delicious sandwiches made on her homemade buns. I still remember the surprise of her green tomato pie. I hold her pork tenderloin recipe as one of my go-to recipes. Peg and I are not able to trave long distancesl at this time but be assured that we join you in spirit. The Sisters join me in London on Thursday to pray in thankgivings for Aunt Margare's life among us and for those who mourn her passing. Peg is having a Mass said for your mom in Windsor. Marg, affectionately known as Carty, was a much loved member of our family. She was loving, caring and attentive from the moment she started babysitting Mike, Nick and Pat from infancy, almost 15 years. She treated the boys as her own sons, We all have many fond memories but we can all agree that coming home from work or play to the smell of fresh bread and buns or apple pie was the best. Not only was she a wonderful cook but she would play soccer with the boys on the front lawn She was a very special lady and an inspiration in our lives.
