As we grew older, I didn’t see Lloyd much, but always remember the good times when the cousins got together at the Hickey household on Tasse Ave, or the at the Hardy’s on Archibald Ave. Lloyd always struck me as a humble guy, and a hard worker during his many years at the Red & White grocery store (those were the days when grocery store employees - Lloyd included - wore a white shirt, pants, and a narrow white cap with the store logo!). When our family was spending weekends at our Aunt and Uncle’s cottage in Bancroft, it wasn’t unusual to see Lloyd rumbling down the road in his Volkswagen for an overnight visit. More recently, I was glad to hear that he and my brother John were working together at the Walmart deli in Renfrew: a pair of jokesters to be sure. Les and I have his family in our thoughts through these difficult days….

My condolences to Lloyd's family. I first met Lloyd when he worked at Thom's Red & White store. He was always so helpful and kind. He did enjoy Halloween and my children & I enjoyed All his decorations & sound effects. Hold your many good memories in your heart and pull them out when days are extra hard .
