Obituary of Bernadette Ellen Lacourse

Bernadette Lacourse passed away peacefully on July 26th, 2023 at Hospice Renfrew with family by her side in her 99th year. Bernadette E Lacourse (Larmond) of Griffith was the beloved wife of the late John W. Lacourse for 67 years. Loving Mother of Marion (Robert Colterman, deceased), Pat, Avery (Judy), Andy (Leona) and Teresa (Peter Plotz). Cherished Grandmother of Angela Pierman (Robert), John Colterman (Renee), Cheryl Lacourse, Darren Lacourse (Sherry), John Lacourse (Lisa), Kerry Lynn Lacourse, Candace Plotz (Kevin) and Kevin Plotz (Tara). Proud Grandma to 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her brothers and sister; survived by one sister Teresa Martin. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, dear companion Wilbert Remus and long time friend Terry Godin.

Bernadette was a WWII veteran and a long term member of the Renfrew Legion and St. Francis Xavier CWL. She loved gardening, playing cards and she was a wonderful cook and baker who enjoyed entertaining family and friends. A huge thank you and much appreciation is extended to the team at Renfrew Hospice for their excellent care and compassion. The family is also grateful to Father Brennan for the visits, support and prayers.

Visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St S Renfrew on Monday July 31st from 2-4, 6-8 pm and Tuesday August 1st 9:15-10:15 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church, Renfrew on Tuesday August 1st at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Griffith.
