Obituary of Lawrence "Larry" James McMahon

It is with great sadness the family announces that Larry passed away peacefully at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Wednesday July 12, 2023 in his 71^st year with his loving wife Cheryl Babcock by his side.  Dear son of the late Michael and Stella (nee Pershick) McMahon.  Dear brother of Murray (Eunice), Colleen (Les Prendergast), Charlotte (Lyle Cleroux). Predeceased by his brother Michael (late Bambi) and his niece Laura Babcock. Special son in law of Sylvia Sell. Dear brother in law of Clayton (Linda) Babcock, Cathy Babcock (Garth), Carol Butson (Richard).  Proud uncle of Maura, Kyra, Lia, Jake, Tracey, Trevor, Vanessa, Christopher, Raina, Brent, Lane, Brent, Casey and Warren. Great uncle to 11 great nieces and nephews.  Larry will be sadly missed and he was loved by so many family and friends.  Larry loved to read, hunt and fish and play cards by the hour.  Larry worked for 33 years with Air Canada.

Visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St., S Renfrew on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Monday at 10:30 am.  Cremation to follow.  Donations, in lieu of flowers may be made to Renfrew Legion Branch 148 Building Fund.
