Karen [Young] Baird posted a condolence

Memories are strong of Elsie & Don and their strong love for family and friends. Our parents celebrated many occasions together and made sure everyone felt special on their birthdays. Quite often "hat" parties were an excuse just to connect with others.. Our Dads (Don and Ross) were the "quiet" ones, but eager to take part in whatever their wives had planned). Don helped my Dad with a small wiring project at our house, and they were the type that enjoyed the small project, not ones to sit around and just chat.
May Don finally rest in Peace. Condolences to the entire Kane Family.
Sincerely, Karen [Young] Baird

The decedents of John Kane and Mary Kelly Irish clan are celebrating the arrival of Don in heaven. The Kanes are spread out throughout Canada and the USA however, we remain a close family. My cousin and I never did meet up even though we are in relative close proximity. I regret this. May god bless Don's family and provide peace in their hearts.

To the entire Kane Family,
Once again, I had the honour of working with Mr. Kane at the mill and this man had my respect and admiration. To me he was wise, intelligent and had an infectious smile. I too have many many memories, of stories, I remember watching him and Mrs. Kane dancing at a staff Xmas party and thinking what a beautiful couple. I will miss him and I offer my condolences to the entire family, you all meant the world to him, I know how proud he was of each of you. He was a great man!
