Obituary of Amanda Elmlinger

Surrounded by the love of her family, Amanda passed away peacefully at Hospice Renfrew on Sunday January 15th, 2023 at the age of 54. Loving wife of Spiro for 25 years.  Proud and loving Mom of Matthew (Morgan), Alex, Athena and Zakk.  Beloved Gammy of Jackson. 

Amanda will be remembered with great love by her husband and children.  She always made sure that when they left the house whether it was for a few minutes or the day that she was waiting at the window to offer a wave, her way of telling them that she loved them.  She was extremely involved in the lives of her children and always wanted to make sure that that they knew she was thinking of them.  She loved to decorate the house for their birthday's and always woke them up on their birthday's by singing "Happy Birthday".  Amanda had a way  connecting with people and always had a positive attitude and always enjoyed a good cup of tea. She loved to help those less fortunate than herself, animals included. Often, she would find animals that needed a home, or medical attention and she was always willing to help even a skunk or racoon. She will be greatly missed.  The family is grateful for all of the support and love from relatives in Canada, Greece and the United States. 

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church, Renfrew on Monday January 23rd at 10:30 am.  Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice Renfrew or Valley Animal Rescue or to a hospice or animal charity in your area.   Online condolences/donations may be made at www.gouletfuneralhome.com
