So so sad to hear of Nanny Pat’s passing. I remember the first time I met her, at Russ & Nancy’s wedding in Yellowknife, which was not too long after the death of her husband, Carl, but she showed up and was the bravest person I know! She was truly a special part of their boy’s lives. She and I had a great friendship, until we all went around the Cabot Trail, and I swore to her there would be no mountains involved, after which she completely lost faith in me….that was always a source of laughter for us. She was always so sweet and kind (and forgiving). I know she’ll always be looking out for all of you, still. Rest In Peace, Pat.
