Wanda and family,
I have fond memories of Jim at the Calabogie ski hill with a cigar, and a joke in the early years of my youth, and then we reconnected one summer at the cottage in Calabogie, and Jim took over handling our group benefits from then forward. We had a mutual connection via Jim & Bobbie Sulpher, and had a many visits, dinners at the Hunt Club, and at the lake. The best visits were Jim dropping into our offices at Centennial. It usually took him about 20 min. to make it to my office because he would stop and chat with everyone, often bringing cigars back from Florida for my VP. We golfed with Jim, and genuinely had many, many heartfelt conversations. He was a wonderful guy, very open about his life, and his love for you Wanda, his children, and his grandchildren. Nothing was more important to Jim, then all of you. He was a real treasure, and will be missed. My deepest sympathy to your family

I will share a memory.
So many to choose from, but one always comes to mind.
Jim and I were always back and forth helping each other with jobs, me doing plumbing and him doing electrical.
One day Jim was hooking up the 220V power to my well pump.
The connection was in a very small room, more like a broom closet.
Both of us were crammed in there, him on a ladder and me right beside him.
Once he finished the connections he told me to "hit the breaker" I did and BANG - louder than a 12 gauge shotgun!
Blew the breaker - it was hooked up wrong.
Once I got my bearings back, I dryly stated " I hate when that happens".
Jim laughed and laughed, until tears, me not so much.
He always loved retelling that story, and shared it with many.
Lots of good memories, but the best were the times, we would just sit out on the deck, share a drink and talk about life.
He will be missed.
