Obituary of Ann Elizabeth Hisko (nee McDyre)

After a life well lived our beloved Mom passed away peacefully at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Monday May 2, 2022 at the age of 95. Born in Londonderry, in the County of Derry, Ireland, she left her family to travel on the RMS Aquitania on October 25, 1949 and was met at the Ottawa rail station by her beloved, the late Ernest who predeceased her in 1990. Dear Mom of Brenda LaFace, Kevin and Kerry (Tamara). Beloved grandma of Victoria (Matthew) and Connor (Alexa). She is survived by her brothers Raymond (Coventry, England) , Tommy (Belfast) and Gerald (Mansfield, England). Mom loved to play cards and will sorely miss the Euchre and Poker games on Monday and Friday evenings at Quail Creek; she was also an avid cribbage player and always had a crib board handy for anyone that was interested in challenging her to a match. The family wishes to express its sincere thanks to the staff at Quail Creek Retirement residence for the wonderful care that was provided to our Mom during the last five years. The family also thanks the nurses and Dr. Coultier for the kind care that they provided to Mom at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital in her final days with us.
