The world needs more people like Michael Colterman. His kindness, thoughtfulness, and strength of spirit will be missed by all that knew him. He taught us to be grateful for life, no matter the hand that we are dealt. We will miss him dearly.
Our hearts go out to Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Pat, Lisa, Wayne, Patrick, and Samantha. You all looked after Michael throughout his 12 year battle, and from here on in Michael will be looking after you.

So sad to have lost Mike. Seriously one of the nicest and most genuine people I've ever met. I have many fond memories of him. Sending my deepest sympathies to the Colterman family. I have such fond memories of Mike and will always remember his easy ability to make me laugh, even on tough days. My favourite memory was when he visited me in the hospital. Instead of bringing the typical get well card, he brought a German (I don't know a word of German) Christmas card and wrote the most hilarious sentiment. Even though I was feeling very ill, that gesture brightened my day.

What a valiant warrior Michael was in living his life with cancer. Always, Always, Always a gentleman and deeply caring. Mike had a clever and quick wit, he had a dry sense of humor. Michael could come up with some 80s song lyrics to match any situationand could name the song and artist within a bar of playing a tune. Family was most important in Michael's life and he was so proud of his niece and nephew, Patrick and Samantha. My deepest sympathy to all of Mike's family and extended family.
