Obituary of John Henry Abercrombie
Jack passed away after a 4 year battle with heart disease at the age of 77, peacefully at home in his sleep. Survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Marilyn (Eady),his children Melville (Ani), Kirk (Jen), Nancy (Josh) Kelly. Loving grandfather of to six grandsons Devon, Zander, Jacob, Adam, Jack & Caleb. Pre-deceased by his parents Harry & Barbara Abercrombie and his only brother Bob. Survived by Norma & sisters–in-law Willis & Shirley. Jack is survived by many nieces, nephews, and many Great & great-great-great nieces and nephews.
Jack spent most of his working career at Haley Industries (now Magellan). He loved to hunt and fish and has passed his passions on to his sons and grandsons. Jack enjoyed being a greeter at the Pentecostal Church in his better days. His immediate family and extended family were everything to him and his desire was to meet them all in heaven.
Private family visitation and service will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St. S., Renfrew. Spring interment Horton Cemetery. In memory of Jack, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Renfrew Victoria Hospital, Calvary Pentecostal Church or the Little Brown Church would be appreciated.
