It was with great sadness that I heard of Aunt Doreen's passing. I wish to send our deepest condolences to Jim, David, Brian and family. As I reflect over many fond memories of Aunt Doreen, she brought us all to smiles with her enormous heart and infectious laugh. Dear Jim, James, and Doreen's family, I was very saddened to hear of Doreen's passing. Doreen's commitment to her grandson James, and the dedication she placed on his upbringing was true love. Doreen was always blunt, and to the point, my kind of person. Jim my condolences to you, may you remember all the good times, and always cherish what you have shared with Doreen.

God rest the soul of this spirited lady, who gave everything and asked for nothing in return. It was a pleasure to work along side her and have her show me the ropes, of how to care for residents at the Bonnechere Manor. She always had a story and it usually ended with everyone sharing a laugh. Doreen was a friend to all and her commitment to family went above and beyond the call of duty. Her presence will surely be missed by many.

My heartfelt sympathy to the family. Doreen was my music festival camping and yard sale buddy and she became my "adopted" big sister. We had so many laughs and good times together. She had a heart of gold and was always there to offer advice, hold your hand, give you a hug or chat anytime. She helped so many people during her career and lifetime. I will really miss her friendship.

Doreen was one of the most quietly generous people I have known. Down to earth, hard working, reliable. At big gatherings she would often be found working in the background. She made herself available for family and friends who needed her help. She always had an open door when I came home for visits or family occasions.
She will be sadly missed. My heartfelt condolences to my brother Jimmy and her family. May flights of angels lead her on her way...

My sincere condolences to my brother Jimmy, and to all Doreen's family at this time of loss.
A couple of my fond memories of Doreen are her welcoming our little boys to the Farqharson farm home for a visit many years ago - a very exciting event for little city boys to see a farm and old fashioned farm house; also, I remember how much Doreen enjoyed creating her various delightful art projects as a past time - she was talented at that.
May she rest in peace.
