Thank you Brenda for sharing your memories of my mom and yours. It took me back to when my uncle Bernie would visit and he and my mom would spell out the words of our Christmas gifts or other stuff. I laughed when I read my mom took her little family technique over to your house. My mom and yours were good long time friends. My mom always kept and used the beautiful afghan your mom made.Whenever I reached for it while watching TV my mom always reminded me "Linda made that for me." I 'd like to think that they are both looking down and laughing together just like they did.

I am so sorry for your loss. I just heard tonight of Jean's passing. I had seen her only a few months ago in the grocery store and offered her a drive home, but she said she had a drive waiting. I remember Jean as a hard worker for her family. My sympathies go out to all the family. May you cherish the fond memories you have of her.

I am so sorry to hear of Jean's passing. I have so many fond memories of her and was so happy to see her at Mom's funeral, not happy for the cause, but happy to see her. It was lovely to be able to share a few memories with her and Pauline and to have a laugh in such a difficult time. In that same vein, I will share a memory with all of you and hope it brings a smile to your face in this dark time.
When Mom and Jean were together they would have conversations that were not meant for small ears and Jean would always spell the words to Mom. I learned to read early and it took me only a matter of time to be able to spell out what they were saying. I was smart enough to not let them know I could do this though. Until one day they were talking about someone getting in a fight downtown and I piped up without thinking" who were they fighting". The look on Mom and Jean's face ...and Jean saying " What....you can spell!!" ....oh my , it was priceless.
I hope those two ladies are together now , sharing more memories , playing cards and just having a jolly time together.
My sincere condolences on the loss of your Mother, it is a very painful time and I send so much love .
