Dear Ann, Andy & Joannie, We were so saddened to hear of your Mom’s passing ……. a lot of reminiscing going on tonight! Your Mom was so special to our family… she gave both Linda and I our first jobs at the Dry Cleaners and she was always our “to go to “person if Mom wasn’t home. But what I remember most was from the time Dad died, your Mom would come to our back door every night, either just before supper or just after, to check on Mom. Sometimes she would stay to keep Mom company and other times she would see if Mom was ok and leave. She always knew what to do - she was such a wonderful friend to Mom. And knowing that your Mom was checking on her was such a relief to us, living out of town. Peter Street was such a great place to grow up – lots of room to play in the back yard; awesome sliding down the gully; the back shortcut to William Street (Agnels’ and Frankie & Gert Freemarks’); the baseball games on the road; skating on the rink in Reid’s back yard; selling vegetables and turnips to the neighbors to make money for the Renfrew Fair and we will never forget having the street light right outside our front door (I think Dad paid the town to put it there for when his girls started dating!) I am sure there is a great reunion happening in heaven today! We were so blessed to have the upbringing and parents we had and although they have left us in body, their spirit will always remains in us. I know this is long for a condolence page but I only have Ann’s address and I wanted to also reach out to Andy and Joannie. Wish we could be with you at this time. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Ann, Andy, and Joan. Our condolences on the loss of your mom. I remember her as a kind and loving person and a good cook. I especially remember Andy bringing bottles of pork hock soup back to the apartment in Pembroke while we were in college. May she rest in peace. Rick and Margaret.
