Obituary of Patrick "Pat" William Valiquette

Peacefully, in his 90th year, at Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Saturday October 31st, 2015.Predeceased by his loving wife Shirley (nee Davidson). Adored and cherished father of John (Donna) of Cormac, Mark (Colleen) of Peterborough, Mary (Emile Emond) of Arnprior, Paddy (Leah) of Stirling, Rachel (Bill Pettigrew) of Renfrew. Predeceased by his much loved daughter, Colleen (Ron Felhaber) of Eganville. Loving grandfather to Chantelle, Jason, Grant, Courtney, Katelyn, Emily, Nicole, Sarah, Jake, John and Ryan. Great-Grandpa to Andrew and Isabelle. Born the 3rd of June 1926, Pat was the 6th child of Anne (Donohue) and Patrick Valiquette. He grew up on the family farm on the Opeongo Line with his siblings, Harry (Alexis), Jim (Lois),Carmel, John (Vi), Frances McLinton, Wayne (Zita), Kathleen (Gord Scrivens). Pat will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He will always be remembered for his devotion to his family, his hard work ethic, storytelling and hearty laugh. At Pat’s request there will be no visitation. A private Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. A very special heartfelt THANK YOU to the caring staff and residents at Fairfields in Eganville. As well to Dr. Strader and the outstanding nursing staff on the 2nd floor of the Renfrew Victoria Hospital. Pat truly enjoyed the exceptional care.
