Marguerite was the matriarch, taking care of us as guests and making sure (I suspect) you grew up to be the amazing people you are. Des, Marcia and family. I was extremely sad to see Marguerite's passing in today's Ottawa Citizen. The loss of such a strong supporter of St. Joseph's High School and being a member of the Parents' Foundation was well known. In addition, Marguerite's kindness toward myself, many times over many years and in many ways endeared her to me and I remain forever grateful. She will be truly missed. Mike Laverty

My sincere sympathy to Des and family. Marguerite may have been a small woman but she had a giant heart. I will forever remember the first decoration day at our graveyard right after my dad died. Marguerite must have known how sad I was because she gave me the biggest hug right when I really needed it. I swear that at times when I think of dad and am sad I can feel her arms wrapped around me. I will miss seeing her at church on Sunday morning and her smile. Rest in Peace Marguerite. You will be missed.
